Umbrella Society has been a pillar of support in Victoria and the surrounding communities for nearly 25 years, offering a compassionate and comprehensive approach to recovery through its extensive outreach programs and award-winning sober recovery housing. As a trusted leader in addiction recovery, Umbrella Society has made a profound impact on countless lives, fostering hope and resilience in those striving for lasting change.
In partnership with New Roads Therapeutic Recovery, recognized as the first charity to provide the largest non-profit long-term residential addiction treatment program on Southern Vancouver Island, we are combining our strengths to create an event that is both inclusive and transformative. Together, we are committed to expanding our reach and deepening our impact, bringing innovative solutions and unwavering support to all those on their journey to recovery.
ABOUT RECOVERY DAY
Recovery Day Victoria 2024 is a one-day, free celebration of recovery from active addiction, welcoming everyone.

This vibrant event will feature an exciting lineup of activities, including live music and comedy on the main stage,
inspiring speakers sharing their personal stories of recovery, a street hockey tournament, a family fun area with a
dedicated kids’ stage, a diverse vendors market, food trucks, and more.
This celebration will not only honor the resilience and courage of those on their recovery journey but also highlight the critical support systems that make recovery possible.
Join us for Recovery Day Victoria 2024 on Saturday, September 21st, at Central Park, Victoria!
• Main Stage Entertainment: Enjoy live performances from local artists and comedians, including acts such as Nautical Disaster, The Peachy Sundays, The Coast, Oakes, Covers In A Dangerous Time, and local comedian Steev Letts.

• Speakers: Individuals will share their personal stories of recovery, providing inspiration and hope to attendees.

• Family Fun Zone: This area will include an inflatable park, a dedicated kids' stage with special entertainers, crafting stations, face painting, and other family-friendly activities.

• Vendors: Explore a diverse range of vendors offering a variety of products and services.

• Food Trucks: A selection of food trucks will be available, offering a variety of cuisines to attendees throughout the day.

• Service Providers Area: We will feature information on substance use and recovery services, providing valuable resources to those in need.
